Kolenu is a community-supported project helping Jews of all backgrounds learn traditional Hebrew prayer with confidence.
When you contribute a recording, you are strengthening our shared tradition and helping others pray with clarity and understanding.
Every voice matters.
What We're Looking For
We welcome:
- Traditional nusach (public-domain melodies)
- Clear, steady recordings of complete prayers
- Submissions from adults
- Submissions from teens (with parent/guardian consent)
Recordings should:
- Be your own voice
- Follow a traditional melody, or one you have permission to share
- Be clear and free from heavy background noise
How Your Recording Is Used
Your submission may be:
- Included inside the Kolenu app
- Used as a learning example for prayer practice
- Shared in related Kolenu educational materials
Kolenu is operated by DigiMint Inc., and recordings are used for educational purposes only.
We may review submissions before publishing. We may also remove content at our discretion, and we aim to honor reasonable removal requests.
Attribution & Privacy
We honor every contributor while respecting your privacy and comfort level.
You choose how you'd like to be credited.
👦 Teen Contributors (Under 18)
To protect minors, we never publish last names.
Your child may be credited as:
- First Name + City
Example: Daniel (Age 13), Toronto
Parents/guardians must approve all teen submissions before publication.
👨 Adult Contributors (18+)
Adults may choose fuller attribution if desired.
You may be credited as:
- Full Name + Description
Example: Rachel Cohen, Cantor & Educator, Vancouver, Canada
