Kolenu ("the App") is a religious and educational application designed to help users learn and practice Hebrew prayers through audio and text. We take your privacy seriously and intentionally minimize data collection.

When you visit our website:

  • We use Google Fonts to display typography. Google may receive your IP address to deliver fonts. We do not use cookies or tracking scripts.
  • When you click "Submit a Recording" (volunteer form), you are directed to Google Forms. Your submission is processed by Google, and we receive the form responses to manage volunteer contributions. See Google's privacy policy for how Form data is handled.
  • We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking on the website.

1. Information We Collect (App)

Kolenu does not collect personal information.

We do not collect:

  • Name, email, or phone number
  • Account credentials
  • Location data
  • Contacts, photos, or user-generated content

No registration or login is required.

2. Automatic Information

When downloading audio or text, standard network information (e.g., IP addresses and HTTP headers) may be processed by our content delivery provider (Cloudflare) to deliver files efficiently. This information is not linked to any user and is not stored by Kolenu.

The app does not collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers (IDFA), or other unique IDs.

3. In-App Purchases

Kolenu offers optional subscriptions through Apple App Store:

  • Payment is handled entirely by Apple.
  • Kolenu does not receive or store payment information.
  • Subscription status is managed locally on the device.

4. Downloaded Content & Offline Use

  • Content may be downloaded for offline use.
  • Files are stored securely in the app's private sandbox and cannot be accessed by other apps.
  • Some audio files are encrypted to prevent reuse outside the app. This encryption does not track users.

5. Analytics & Advertising

Kolenu:

  • Does not track usage or user behavior
  • Does not use third-party analytics
  • Does not serve ads
  • Does not use advertising identifiers (IDFA)

6. Children's Privacy

Kolenu does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app contains no social features, messaging, or user-generated content.

7. Data Sharing

Kolenu does not sell, rent, or share personal data. The only third-party service involved is a CDN (Cloudflare) to deliver static audio and text files efficiently.

8. Data Security

  • All content is stored securely within the app sandbox.
  • No personal data is stored or transmitted.
  • Network communication uses HTTPS encryption.
